Welcome to our SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disability) pages. We hope you will enjoy reading about the variety of ways in which Laithes Primary School is able to support SEND and looked after children to reach their full potential.
Our Special Educational Needs and Disability Co-ordinator is Hayley Gunn, who co-ordinates a team of people to provide additional support to our more vulnerable pupils.
We are an inclusive school, and believe that all children should be valued and treated with respect. The school uses its best endeavours to ensure that the provision for ALL its pupils is of the highest possible standard, whilst acknowledging that we are continually striving to improve our practice.
Every student at Laithes Primary School has the opportunity to follow all National Curriculum subjects. We are committed to narrowing the attainment gap between SEND and non-SEND students. This may include after school interventions, short-term intervention learning or other learning interventions developed on an individual needs basis.
