Teaching Assistant Grade 3, 32.5 hours per week, term time only Scale Point 5-6, £21,575 to £21,968 (pro rata) Start date: ASAP from September 2023 (upon completion of relevant pre-employment checks) Laithes Primary School is part of the ECM Trust and works in close partnership with other schools within the Trust We are seeking to appoint a flexible team player who is prepared to support the class teacher, other colleagues and children. You will need to be well motivated, tenacious and be confident enough to use your own initiative when the need arises. In addition, you must have a firm but fair manner and a genuine desire to support the individual development of the children with whom you work. You will be expected to uphold all the school’s policies and procedures, paying particular attention to the positive behaviour and reward strategies. Experience of working with children with special educational needs, including those with communication & interaction needs is desirable. Applicants must have:
v Relevant experience working with school-age children
v Excellent communication skills – both written and oral
v The ability to use basic technology to support teaching & learning
v A minimum of Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
v Willingness to undertake training related to the role, including first aid training
v A positive attitude and a desire to work as a member of a team.
